Teachers’ Pedagogical Competence in Finnish Early Childhood Education—A Narrative Literature Review

Finnish early childhood education (ECE) is defined in policies and research as an activity with emphasis on pedagogy a holistic Nordic model of education. Pedagogical competence can be viewed special expertise teachers responsible for the implementation ECE. However, it unclear how teacher’s pedagogical defined, understood, implemented practices policies. Previous studies define from different, often narrow, perspectives various skills have been to part teachers’ expertise. In this study, we aim take closer look at literature Finland.
